Privacy Policy

Effective June 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Driver Engage ("we", "us") handles information when drivers use the Driver Engage mobile app and when carrier/fleet administrators ("Companies") use the Driver Engage web dashboard. This page is maintained by Driver Engage to answer common privacy questions about the app.

1. Who controls your data

Driver Engage is a tool that Companies use to engage their own drivers. For driver users, your employer (the Company that invited you) is the controller of your information. Driver Engage processes that information on the Company's behalf.

2. Information we collect

  • Driver profile. First name, last name, phone number, email, hire date, and the program start date — provided by your Company.
  • Engagement activity. Replies and survey answers you submit, the date/time they were received, and points earned or spent in the rewards catalog.
  • Reward redemptions. The reward you redeemed, any note you added, and fulfillment status.
  • Device & push tokens. A generated device identifier and a Firebase Cloud Messaging push token so we can deliver monthly check-in notifications to the right device.
  • Admin accounts. For Company admins: name, email, and the company they manage.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, advertising IDs, or biometric data.

3. How we use information

  • To deliver scheduled check-ins, surveys, and reward notifications.
  • To award and redeem points and show drivers their balance and history.
  • To show Company admins aggregated engagement and individual replies for their own drivers.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use driver information for advertising.

4. Push notifications

Push notifications are the core function of the driver app. You can turn them off at any time in your device's notification settings — the app will still open, but you'll stop receiving monthly check-ins.

5. Sharing

We share information with: (a) your Company's authorized administrators, (b) infrastructure providers we use to run the service — Supabase (database, auth, storage), Cloudflare (hosting), and Firebase Cloud Messaging (push delivery), and (c) law enforcement when required by law. We do not share with advertisers.

6. Retention

Driver records are retained for as long as the Company keeps you active in the program. Reply and survey history is retained for the Company's reporting purposes. When you delete your account in-app, your personal information (name, email, phone) is removed, push devices are revoked, and your portal access is permanently disabled.

7. Your choices & account deletion

Drivers can delete their account directly in the app: open Driver Engage → scroll to AccountDelete my account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible from the driver side. If you need a copy of your data first, contact your Company administrator.

Company administrators can delete their workspace by contacting us at the support email below.

8. Children

Driver Engage is intended for commercial drivers and Company administrators and is not directed to children under 13.

9. Security

Access to driver and Company data is protected by row-level security policies and scoped per-company. Admin accounts require email and password (or Google sign-in). We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the admin dashboard. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
